Half Persian 4-in-1 w/MultiStrand Rings

Shaped rings are a recent addition to our product line so our Weave Gallery information and recommendations are quite limited. We're adding to our recommendations as quickly as testing allows but in the meantime, please use the following notes to help you estimate the best size where no recommendation is given.
MultiStrand rings, as the name implies, are made of multiple strands of wire so the thickness doesn't correspond exactly to gauge measurements... though it's close. Twisting makes the wire very hard so these rings have a lot of springback, enough to dramatically affect the inside diameter. Multistrand rings feel quite different and require a greater amount of tip crossover to get a good close but they aren't difficult otherwise. Sometimes a multistrand ring will take up less room in a weave than the correspondingly sized round ring because the ring's profile is actually triangular rather than round. This can make a weave feel slightly loose by comparison to the round ring version. There is likely to be some scarring of the metal because harder rings require more force to manipulate but the harder wire doesn't mark badly and the ornate lines of the ring make any marks hard to spot.
As is described above, this version of the chain is actually more flexible than the one made with all round rings, probably due to the triangular profile of the multistrand rings.
Please keep in mind that our ring size recommendations apply perfectly to rings that we make but cannot and should not be assumed to apply to other rings made by other people using other processes.
