Because we don't retain your payment information once an order is placed (See our Security & Privacy page for details) we can't make changes to your order that will result in a higher total than you authorized when placing your order. We can remove items or switch items as long as the result will be a total that's the same or lower than the total you authorized when you placed the order. (Contact us to request such a change.)

If you find that you've forgotten something or want to add to an order, you will need to place an additional order to do so. There are three ways to do that and the options result in different processes which are explained in detail below so that you can make the choice that best suits your circumstances.

Option 1 - Place a second order with combine comment. This option can save on shipping costs but it can also delay shipment of your orders.

Details: This option will result in both orders being shipped together in one package. If the combined weight of multiple orders results in a total shipping charge less than the total of shipping charges paid on multiple orders, you'll receive a refund of the overpayment. (See Shipping Charges for more information on refunds.) This method could delay shipment of the combined package by 1 business day.

Best Used: This option is best used when shipping costs need to be kept as low as possible and... (a) time is not a factor, or (b) the second order does not include rings or kits.

How to: Place a second order and make a note in the comments field to combine this order with your previous order and note the previous order number.

Option 2 - Place a second order without combine comment. This option gets all orders to you as soon as possible but can result in multiple shipments, meaning there might be no savings of shipping charges to be refunded later.

Details: This option will result in each order being shipped as soon as the items are available. If all items on both orders are available to ship on the same day, we usually notice the same address and combine them automatically, in which case you get your order soonest and probably a shipping refund as well, resulting in the best of all situations, savings of both time and money. However, if the second order isn't ready, the first order will still ship on schedule, resulting in the soonest possible arrival. In some cases, depending on what's ordered and what's in stock at that time, the second order could even ship before the first.

Best Used: This option is best used when saving time is more important than the possible refund of shipping charges.

How to: Place a second order without mention of the first order in the comments field.

Option 3 - Replace the current order with an altered version. This option eliminates the first order, replacing it with a revised version.

Details: This option will result in cancellation of the original order and the generation of a new order.

Best Used: This option is best used when one order is preferable to multiple orders, for reasons of bookkeeping or logistics.

How to: (a) Contact us requesting that the initial order be canceled (please include the order number), then simply place another order. When we cancel the initial order, any credit card charge authorized for the first one will be voided, freeing that portion of the card's balance for use.

This is a great deal of information and probably more than you needed to know, but some of our customers, especially those running businesses, have very specific needs with regard to saving time and/or money in various circumstances, so we thought it best to provide all the information needed to cater to those circumstances when they arise. *s*
