Our shopping cart accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover, as well as Paypal, checks, money orders and wire transfers. If you use a credit card, you will be required to enter the security code from the back of your card. (See our News post on why this is now necessary if you're interested.) When paying by credit card, the charge for your order is authorized the instant the order is placed, meaning that the amount of the payment is set aside from your available balance for us, but the payment is not yet sent to us. When your order is packed and ready to ship, we use the transaction ID assigned at the time the order was placed to complete the charge. In this way, we can wait until the day we ship the order to collect your payment without risking your security by storing your credit card number.

If you choose to make payment via Paypal and your Paypal account balance is greater than the amount of the charge, the payment will go through instantly; otherwise, the payment will come through as an echeck. PayPal payments go through as echecks when the balance in the PayPal account is less than the amount of the payment, resulting in PayPal drawing the money from the associated bank account. That withdrawal usually takes four business days to clear the bank. We will place your order on our production schedule immediately and it will be prepared while the echeck is in process, then shipped when the echeck has cleared.
